Classical Performance
As a Classical guitarist I have given recitals with various flautists and handbell ringers but mainly performed as a soloist around England, Wales, Austria and France.
I have performed several times for the Archbishop George Carey as well as giving a recital for the inauguration of Archbishop Rowan Williams.
Teaching Experience
I've been teaching guitar privately since '96. I've also taught in secondary schools, including a Grammar school, and at University.
I've taught all ages from 4 to senior as well as teaching dyslexics, a dyspraxic, a blind person and someone with one arm. Whatever your level, I can help you.
Awards
In 2001 I won the Canterbury Festival Composer's Prize.
During my Master's Degree I was awarded the Larissa Lovelock Memorial Scholarship.
Studies
I am currently doing a PhD in the ergonomics and physiology of playing guitar.
In the late '90s I took a two year course in contemporary and popular musics before doing an undergraduate degree in music here in Canterbury. This lead directly on to a Master's Degree in Classical guitar performance.
